Looking for info on Bernhard Esch, a shoemaker. He was born Jul 14, 1823 in Engelsheim, Alsace; came to the US in 1845 (possibly aboard the "New York"); was naturalized on Oct 12, 1846 in Erie Co., OH; married Mary Tracy (from Ireland) on Aug 15, 1853 in Erie Co., and lived/worked in Sandusky.

Their children include: George (1854), Minnie (1859), John J. (1862), Lizzie (1864), William W. (1867), Ellan (1869), Theresa Harriette (1871), Charles B. (1872), and Albert (1876) -- my wife's connection is through Charles B.

Thanks in advance for any info! Scott
