I was raised in a tiny village just outside of Heidelberg in little old Germany. Growing up, some of my fondest memories were from Eschbacher Tag(Ashtray day), a wonderful festival to celebrate the invention of the ashtray by my great uncle, Klaus von dumpitaufderstrasse. I believe that the celebration was such a sucess that many babies were conceived this evening and since folks wanted to further honor Klaus's great mind they named their children Eschbacher. How exciting to see that the name further made it's way to America.
