Yes it is possible as I heard that about 30 years ago. I was told that it was Mennonite but that is difficult to prove or disprove. My Ancestry came from the Croettwiller, Trimbach, Niederroderm area of Alsace, which is located North of Strassburg. In fact if you can locate Seltz, these three hamlets are located just Northwest of Seltz. I did not see any stones with the Oesch there though. Neither did I in Ontario as I did not check any of the Mennonite cemeteries there.
