I come from a line of Eschenbrenners, but I do not have any information about where they came from. I thought it was Germany, but my brother told me that it could have been Alsace-Lorraine as there are Eschenbrenners in that area. My mother was an Eschenbrenner, her grandfather was Charles Eschenbrenner who married Catherine Vorbach in Manhattan in the 1890's. I don't have my dates handy at this time. On the marriage certificate he was listed as John Charles Eschenbrenner. He married in December and died the following October. He had two sisters named Lena and Hannah that I know of. I know that he is listed on census as coming from Germany by his son Charles Eschenbrenner who married Mary Ellen (Mae) Kelly. That is all the information that I have and I don't know if I am related to the same people in your family tree. Let me know if there could be any connection or if you know of a different line of Eschenbrenners that you have come across that might meet that description. My e-mail address at home is
