My Eschenbrenners lived in New York and New Jersey. My grandfather was Charles Eschenbrenner married to Mary Ellen (Mae) Kelly and lived in Jersey City. My great-grandfather was (John) Charles Eschenbrenner married to Catherine (Kate) Vorbach. The John part of the name was unknown until we received the marriage certificate (married in Manhattan) which stated him as such. They married in the late 1800's in December and he died the following October. He ran a dance studio in New York City. He had two sisters named Lena and Hannah. It was my understanding that they had come from Germany. That is all I know.
