Mary and son, Andrew 1850's

I am trying to shed some light on Mary (probably born Smith) who married Escue, later Hawkins and Boswell. In 1855 Joseph Boswell died and the next year Mary married Alfred Anderson. She died in 1878. The Boswell and Anderson families lived in Union Co., Illinois and in the 1850 census for that county Andrew Escue was 10, listed in Mary and Josephs home and he had 5 Boswell sisters. On her death certificate she is listed as Mary Hawkins Anderson. On her son Peter Bently Anderson's death certificate she is listed as Mary Smith Anderson. I can weed through this a little more if you can tie in with any information. Please write. Joy Carter Johnstone
