I would like to correspond with researchers connected to the families of Samuel Escue and Elmira Jane Hendrix (she was born 1826 and he was born about 1825). This family lived in Lawrence Co. TN; Sam was probably born in neighboring Giles Co.
Also, Sam's brother, William L., born ca 1830, married Nancy Catherine Hendrix, born 1828. They also lived in Lawrence Co. William L. apparently died before the Civil War.
Children of Sam:
James J., America (female), George W., Surley, Richard, William Marshall, John W., Francis J. (dau).
Children of William L.:
James, Joseph, Albert, James(? did the first James die at a young age?), Thomas.
