Have you checked the Essery family web site in Devonshire? It is the only source that I am aware of for Essery's in UK. It has history of the name, some early ancestors by various spellings going back to the 1500s, and genealogy for "Essery" (including varient spellings in SW England - mainly Devonshire), especially has census information from 1850s and 1880s. and then you can check around from there.

There is no direct connection to specific people in UK for those of us that came out the line descended from James (1715-post 1758) who immigrated to the Philadelphia, PA area from England between 1744-46.

But if you have a different ancestry maybe you can find what you are looking for.
