In Livonia revision year 1826, first one with surnames to peasants 4 Sons of Karl named Isak, Kaspar,Daw and Mikkel Timuska were registered in Allazi parish, Latvia. They were in the age 36 to 21 years. If given in Latvia Timuska would be a female name, I suspect they brought this name from Estonia. There is also a finnish (or karelian?) version Timoska. Has the name any meaning in estonian? I have also found the Timuska family name in early 18th century on www.familysearch.org in Estonia. Acc. to this the name could be given earlier than 1820/30 ties.
