Hang on, Harry, how about telling Thomas that most Estonian local governments and towns have their own Web sites, with an URL consisting of the usual prefixes and <placename.ee>? There is a good one at http://www.vandra.ee. How is your Estonian, Thomas? You might need to get someone like Elisabeth to help you navigate this site. However, at the bottom of the list on the left is "Pildigaleriid", "Picture or Photo Gallery". Perhaps you could get the person who maintains this site, at <vandval@estpak.ee>, to post scans of Elisabeth's 3 photos of Asta. Somebody living in Vändra now should recognise them. Alternatively, how about preparing posters for the Library? The Web site tells us that the chief librarian can be contacted by e-mail at <vandrark@hot.ee>. The "rk" at the end of "vandrark", BTW, Thomas, is an abbreviation of the Estonian for library, "raamutukogu" which is literally "book collection". It is quite likely that somebody who is keeping a Web site going knows some English, or knows somebody in town, like the English teacher, who can help. The same goes for the chief librarian, Hiie Piirsalu. Good luck, Ann Notify Administrator about this message?
