G'Day Russell, I don't think my family and yours are one of the same however I seek descendants of my ancestors by the name of EVA from Johannesburg. William (died 29/6/1935)and Matilda EVA (died 13/6/1933) were born Ballarat Australia and emmigrated to J'burg about 1902 where he worked as a train driver in the gold mines.(Crown Reef)They had 3 kids William Percy, Ethel May and Norman John (my Grandfather) and all Australian born.
Percy and Ethel (died 27/7/1965) stayed in J'burg but Norm came back to Australia but under his mothers maiden name HARVEY. I don't know why.Very hard to get info out of S.A and am only now experimenting with the 'net'. I would appreciate any assistance.
Regards Leigh (lghauber@optusnet.com.au)
