I am also researching the Evelands. I have found a Ferguson Eveland on the 1850 Census for Fishingcreek Twp, Columbia County, PA. He is listed one of eight children of John and Susan Eveland. I have also found where he enlisted in the army for service in the Civil War, on June 19, 1863. That is all the information that I have. Hope it helps. I am looking for a Peter Eveland who married a Jane Golder also in Col. Co. PA. If you have any info on him it would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.
