Thanks for answering so quickly. As soon as I can get some info on Henry Harmon (born before 1860 I might connect you with my husband's family also. He's my second husband so there's no problem here. So I guess we are related on the Eveland side. I am in contact with a lady in NJ who got me started on this. There is a book being written on the Evelands. It seems there might be a Cherokee connection in the family, also I saw a message the other day that is trying to link the family to Andrew Jackson. When you get into tracing family history, the world suddenly becomes rather small. Especially when it seems like all the families started in the same little area and spread out from there. Please keep in touch--it's been wonderful sharing with people who are 'kin'.
