Hi Maude
I think we are researching different Abraham W. Evelands. I haven't gotten my Abraham's death certificate yet but I believe he died in Burnett County, WI on June 15,1903.
Maybe you could tell me if your Abraham W. Eveland is the one who served in E&I 16th PA Cavalry and had a wife named Elanah. I was thinking about sending for this Civil War pension record from NARA but if it is not my line it may save some time better spent researching elsewhere.
I believe my Abraham Eveland is the son of John and Susanah Pealer Eveland from Fishing Creek Township,Columbia County,Pennsylvania. Unfortuanately the 1860 Census is unreadable. This census would probably have had his wife and at least one of his children listed. I can't find any other proof as of yet.
