Scott, I am descended from Jacob Pace of St Thomas, Ontario who I believe was the son of Michael Pace and Anna Eveland who were married 11 Feb 1801 in Sussex Co NJ. I think Anna was born in 1774 and may be the dau of John Eveland of NJ. It is possible that these families were of Loyalist descent since many families that moved from the East coast and settled in Ontario were there for specific reasons and not just because they were farmers. Jacobs wife was Margaret McLean who was definitely of Loyalist heritage. I have corresponded with Fred Prong who has made some good progress recently on these lines. I will try to forward some of our e-mail correspondence to you.
