I would like to follow up on Abraham W. Eveland, he was born May 18, 1836 in Pennsylvania and died in the Swiss Township, Burnett County, Wisconsin June 15, 1903. On his death certificate it says his parents were John and Margaret Eveland. The 1900 U.S. Census shows him living with his son John in Sherman Township, Dunn County, WI . It indicates that Abraham's father John Eveland was born in New Jersey and his mother Margaret was born in Pennsylvania. If there are any Eveland researchers who have information on the Evelands of New Jersey who migrated to Pennsylvania please post or contact me directly.
The 1870 U.S. Census of Dunn, Dunn County,WI shows that Abraham probably came to WI around 1868. He has two boys with the last name of Farley living with him. Frank and Herman or Hamus Farley. I found another Farley & Eveland connection in the book The Early Germans of New Jersey Their History, Churches and Genealogies. Under the Gulick family there is a Gulick-Farley and Gulick-Eveland marriage.
