Hi Connie,
Thanks for writing. I located an Alfred A. Eveland (b.1856 - d.1930). He was the son of Peter Eveland and Rebecca (last name unknown). Peter Eveland was my GGG-Grandfather John's brother. Alfred's Siblings were:
Lanah
Catherine (Kate)
Savilla
Wesley
Hiram
Alvira
Levi
Ellen
David
Permelia.

It is possible that these brothers and sisters (including Alfred) were all stepchildren to Peter Eveland except for Hiram and Alvira.

The information I have lists Alfred's wife as Bernice (b.1864 - d.3/24/1881). It's not clear if he had any children with Bernice, at least I don't have any info on any. He then married Lenora (b.1856 - d.6/1/1899) and had at least two children: Atta B. Eveland and an unknown infant. I don't have any info on a wife named Stella but if you got that info from census or obituaries then I'm apt to believe it. Stella could have been a middle name, as could Lenora. I'd recommend searching the 1930 census for his widow.

I hope that there is something there that you can use. I would love it if you would keep me up to date on what you find.... seeing we're cousins and all.

Take care,
John
