All Everest trace back to one man, Roger Everest

All Everests alive today are the descendents of one man Roger Everest. The first recording of the name Everest is from the Doomsday Book. Roger Everest and his brother came to England with William the Conqueror in 1066. Roger's brother's bloodline died out, so there are no living descendents of his. All Everests in the entire world (roughly 2500 people) are all descended from Roger Everest. Although Everevest comes from the Norman (Viking-Norsemen= Norman) name Devereux and his name was Devereux it was anglified to Everest in the English language doomsday book and that is the earliest historical record of the name Everest. There were only two Everests at that time 1066ad and the all Everests (alive now) are descended from just one of them, Roger (his brothers blood line having died out quite early on).

If you are an Everest you can befriend me on my facebook page. Look for Charles Everest in Raleigh NC (hometown London)
