Hi, Stephen. You mention that your family resided mostly in Tunbridge Wells this century. Are the names Ken and Muriel familiar to you? If so, you're probably the nephew of my grandfather Ernie. That makes us 1st cousins once removed, if I'm not mistaken. If you're this Stephen, I've met you. I was visiting from Canada when I was very young.
