Dear Julie,
Considerable material for the book you mention was supplied by my grandmother, Mildred Everest (maiden name) of Mattawan and earlier of Pine Grove, Michigan, who was a first cousin of David Clark Everest (their fathers were brothers).
My grandmother was approached by David Clark Everest for help in compiling the book, as she was in charge of keeping the Family Bible. My mother's name (Florice Zielie) and my name (Susan Bender) also appear in the book as Everest descendants.
Unfortunately, my grandmother and later my aunt who kept the book both passed away, and my remaining cousins have lost track of it. I only saw it once, in 1955 or 1956. I am living outside the U.S. at present but I intend to try to contact Higginson Books to order a copy.
It may interest your forum to know that there was a fairly sizeable branch of the family which settled in Michigan, and my grandmother's father (my great grandfather) also had a paper mill there at one time.
