I have checked my records to see if I have anything that would give me an approximate date of birth of Will, Willie, William Evers. No date mentioned in all of my notes. When my Dad was 5 yrs old (about 1926) he and his mother came back to Webster's Chapel (Etowah Co) to stay with relatives. My Uncle Henry was 3 and was with his father. Will left Henry in the car and walked in a drugstore and never came back. State workers brought my uncle up here to his mother.
I have found the Roxie Flowers on the 1880 census with the Bodiford(t)family also. I have kept the info just in case she turns out to be the right one. I have tried finding marriage/death records for William. It is rumored that my grandmother was not his first wife.
We may be looking for the same one. I will be glad to confirm any info that I have to see if it agrees with what you have. Mine was found here at the local library and the Gadsden library.
