James Lochlin Ewen (b. 1844 died - 1899 in Muskegon, Michigan) came over from Edinburgh, Scotland. He stayed in Canada for awhile with his three brothers (Robert, John, and Tom or Thomas) and his sister(name unknown). The sister went blind from white washing a chicken coop.

It says in my family documentation that Colin is a Ewen family name. Many since generation have used the name Colin, which has now also become a Patterson family name. James Ewen had three brothers, could any of these be a relation to you with having children by the name of Colin? We do not know what happened to James' three brothers or his sister. Please respond.

Best Regards,
Tiffany Patterson
