Hello Cindy!

I'm very glad you are around! I was afraid that after four years, you might be doing other things.

Did you get my e-mail? I beleive I sent it to the right address, but I sent it before I found this response from you.

This is really surprising to find you. Unfortunately, I do not live in the area or anywhere close. I am in Ukraine, actually. Got into genealogy last year during a harsh winter cold spell that kept me indoors and limited my receration to the internet where I googled a gggrandmother just out of boredom. And it's snowballed since then.

Re Charles headstone. I think maybe i saw it once in the 1980s. Does it have an oval ceramic picture of him on the front? I would have seen it in the cemetery, but I was young then and don't really remember.

I would love a scan of the picture of William and Almeda. And the piture which says "Oberto", too, though it doesn't ring any bells at all. Alemda's name was actually Richard for some reason. I think my dad has a copy of her birth certificate where it originally says she is a girl, but then a doctor crossed that out and wrote SON or MALE (can't remember which). She shows up in the 1880 census as a male, too. :-P

Check and ley me know if you got the e-mail and write me back there. I lok forward to hearing from you!

i'll save more for emails as i guess we are sort of invading the EWEN forum! hehe, but it worked for us, didn't it?
