Michael

I'm very interested in this branch of the Ewer family. I'm not related to them but I'm researching them as part of a local history project (my house is on land formerly owned by the Ewers at Bushey Hall, Hertfordshire). I'm hoping to write the Ewer's family history.

I've got a fair amount of information about them, including loads of wills, which I will gladly share with you. I was interested in your reference to William's mother as Hester Vandeput - I didn't have her maiden name - what is your source for it?

I'm also interested in the connection between the Ewer family and the Earls of Shaftesbury - Ann's sister Jane (William's aunt) married the third Earl of Shaftesbury.
