Lemuel & Marshall Goodspeed Ewer - Texas ca 1850

New to the Ewer line, I just ID'ed my 2GGM as Mary C Ewer, dau of Marshall and Uvania Ewer. I found the LaRoe Manuscript, detailing Marshall and Lemuel's trip to Texas, and some land patents for Lemuel in TX. Is this the same Lemuel that's in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA for the 1810-1860 Census, the man listed as JOP in 1826, and the muster record for 1814 in Lt Col David Nye's Reg.? Censuses mentioned above, list a wife Abigail Percival and a dau Martha. There's a question coming... Can anyone head me in the right direction for Lemuel's father??
Thank You in advance for your consideration,
