Henry John Ewer 1904 - 1975 Sussex

I'm looking for information about Henry John Ewer who was born in Brighton on 16 Jan 1904. He trained as an architect and surveyor, working for the Corps of Royal Engineers during WW2, mainly in Sierra Leone and the Gold Coast. After the war he continued to work as a quantity surveyor for the CRE in York. During the fifties he returned south and was living in Felpham, Bognor Regis at the time of his death in September 1975.

He married Amy Frances Bedford on 3 Sept 1932 at the Parish Church, Aldrington, Hove, Sussex. The couple had no children, which has made it very difficult to find out much about him. In particular I would really like to find a photograph of Henry as we only have a description of him.

He was descended from the Ewers of Brighton and further back from the Ewers of Bursledon in Hampshire.
