Thanks for this additional information. I have a full(?) genealogy (prepared by my grandfather, Arthur Clifford Ewer, in 1935) from Thomas (1st) until present if you would like to have it. I am the 11th generation. I presume you are too.

Also, from this iteration the following:

Thomas Ewer, the progenitor of the family, came from England, in the ship James Joseph in May of 1635 and landed at Charlestown, Mass. in June, 1635. He was at that time, according to the shipping list, forty years of age and was accompanied by his wife and two children, Elizabeth (born 1631 died 1641) and Thomas (born 1633). The two oldest children were left in England.

Thomas (1st) died in 1638.
