I just came across your posting and am related to Benjamin French. His son Andrew was married to my Great-Great Grandma Sarah P. Thomas. I am trying to find out where Benjamin is buried. Do you have any idea? Also we have him dying in 1870 and I find him on the 1880 New Haven Census, Shiawassee County. Please e-mail me and let me know if you know anything. Thank you. archieneumeyer@epals.com
