I have a written description of EXNER coat of arms. will have copy of actual soon." a rampant unicorn atop a crown with pearl, atop a knights helmet with a gold chain aand a Blue gem as a pendant" " the motto is Ehrlich Wahrt Ewig: honesty endureth forever"
the crown denotes not royalty, but noblemen. . The coat of arms is a Freemans Device. The device consists of a shield with three tandem roses on a bar of royal blue over a sable field. The unicorn is the biblical symbol, the roses "Roses of Sharon" were popular in the times of the Crusades. There is a helmet surmounting the shield. Around the neck of the helmet you see a locket or amulet signifying that the wearer received a "Fife" or special privilege from his sovereign lord. The scrolls surrounding the shield are Scarlett and royal blue"
this is a description written by my aunt , using a book of heraldry to describe it. The coat of arms was given to my Grandfather Heinrich Wilhelm Exner by a great uncle Anton Exner in Huttendorf, Northern Bohemia. Anton received it from his grandfather. .. or so they say!!!
