My father, Irenee Augustin Eyraud (1893-1968) emmigrated from St.Eusebe en Champsaur, Hautes Alpes, France in March 1912 to Idaho. His brother Joseph (1884- ) preceeded him by five years to Nevada. Their parents were Joseph Marius Eyraud (1850-1934) and Rosalie Emile Jaussaud b 1857. Gap is the capital of the department of Hautes Alpes. Joseph Marius had two brothers, Francois Joseph b 1852 (wife Appolonie Grimaud) and a second brother whose name we don't know who emmigrated to California in the late 1800's. I still have relatives in Gap whom I visited in Sept 1999 for the first time. Have your family contact Irenee Gonsolin in Rambaud 04-92-53-43-74.
