Marcie-
I have tried to connect these two GER- WI-IA lines but have had no luck. The 'other' Faas line in Iowa seems to have an earlier emigration time frame (to PA then OH first?). My line seems to have come directly from GER to WI around 1855. That is not to say it might not be established that they have a connection. My line seems isolated to Washington Co., WI to Mitchell Co., IA as far as I can tell but then I know very little about my Faas line: The furthest back I can document is: Johann Fees/Faas b 1788 who married Margaretha Burger. Their son, Benedict "John, Sr" FAAS married Cunigunda Schuster - my gg grandparents. Benedict was b 3 May 1823 in Bavaria GER, Cunigunda b 10 Jun 1828, also in Bavaria GERMANY. Both died in Iowa and are buried there.
