I have a John C. Faas in Philadelphia, U.S. Censuses 1860 & 1870, married to Eliza (1860)/Louisa (1870), children Eliza/Louisa, Emma, William and John. All children born in PA. Both parents born in Württenburg.
Is this the same person as your John Casper?

I found them again in 1880 census in Wamego, Pottawatomie Co., KS with last name of Feess and in 1900 census, same location, with last name of Feese. I'm certain they are the same family because ages, birth locations, and children's names all match up. According to 1900 census, both parents immigrated in 1852.

If this is the same family, I would VERY much like to know what you know concerning his history.

Thanks in advance,
Sheila McLin Endres
