I am looking for a John (Johann?) Faas who married Louisa (or Eliza?) C Krautter. Both are from Württenburg, Germany, and both immigrated to the US in 1852, settling first in Philadelphia, PA, and later in Wamego, KS. The 1860 US Census shows their last names as Faas. The 1870 shows Feess. 1880 and later censuses show Feese.

I think they were protestant. At least their daughter was married (in KS) in the German Evangelical Lutheran church.
