Johann J Faber c.1760 Hessen

I am trying to locate the origin of Johann (es) Jurgen faber from Hessen. He arrived as a soldier/sailor in service of the Dutch East Indian Company in South Africa c. 1760. On his marriage certificate it is stated that he was from Manningenhoff in Hessen-Hanau. Are there any Fabers in that region. I am unable to find Manningenhoff on old maps. Any reference/ help will be greatly appreciated
