Ron--
I think your Fabers are different from mine, but I did a look-up for you.
I found August Faber in Cleveland in the 1920 census. He was 59, born in Germany.(I calculate his birth year as approximately 1861, based on his age.)It says he immigrated in 1891 and was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 1910.He was a widower in 1920, living in the household of August Schieve, age 29, and wife Anna Schieve, age 28, (presumably his daughter and son-in-law), and their sons Roger and Lawrence (ages 7 and 5 respectively).August and Anna Schieve and Roger and Lawrence were all born in Ohio, according to this record.
August Faber was in Cleveland in the 1930 census. He was 70, born in Germany, a widower who was first married at age 20.August is listed as the father-in-law of the head-of-household.He was living with Martin Meyer, age 48, born in Germany, wife Mary Meyer, age 43, born in Germany, first married at age 18, and daughter LaVerne, age 17, born in Ohio.
I didn't find the 1910 or 1900 census record for August Faber, but I hope this gives you some more places to look.
