William Faber from Luxembourg to Kane County, IL

My Great Grandfather William Faber was born in Luxembourg 24 December 1844. At the age of 21 years he immigrated to the US in 1866 aboard the ship Hermann. He boarded ship in Bremen, Germany. William's mother's name was Katherina born abt.1825 in Luxembourg. I have no information about William's father. According to the US 1900 census Katherina was living in William's home and had 5 children, 3 of which were still living-including William. I have been trying to find out where in Luxembourg my Faber line lived. I would also like to know anything I can learn about William's siblings. I have been to Luxembourg in the last year with little success in my research. Faber is a common name there. Please email any information to me that you think would be helpful in my research. Thank you! Nancy Faber Cross
