Hi, I am descended from the Mathias Factor line and I have about the same information as you do. I can tell you that Reeves Factor is actually Lewis Reeves Factor b. 1837 Alsace-Lorraine and he is the son of Mathias Factor (1795) & Margaret (1797). I'll tell you what I think, and that is that they are all related. This is not a common name as you probably know and I really believe that they are all connected. Do you have any information about Mathias Factor (1817/18) and Barbara Wineman or Schugh? I don't know what her maiden name is, but I found a marriage license for her and Mathias and she was called Barbary Wineman. Then on one of the death certificates (sorry I can't find it) for one of her children, it says that her name is Barbara Schugh. I know she married before her marriage to Mathias Factor and it was to a Mr.Croniser/Groniser. They had a son named George W. Croniser. He was referred to as the 'deceased son' in Barbara's estate papers. But, his children were mentioned as her grandchildren. Now, for the Schugh name, here is another tidbit: On the 1880 Census, living close to George Factor & the Aschbachers is this family, I wonder if he is a brother to Barbara?? I haven't, but I will look and see if they have them on Ancestry.com and if they do I can let you know what I find, if you want. My suspicion is that Mathias may have come here with a brother. Thanks, Laura Notify Administrator about this message?
