This is what I have.
John Factor was married to Kate Miller. Don't have any dates on this. They had a son named Henry Factor, possibly John Henry Factor. D.O.B - 1883 or 1884 in Schuyler County (which is next to Brown County where Mt. Sterling is located). He married Etta Mae Hill 08/19/1903 possibly in Mt. Sterling. He died in 1921 and is buried in Mt. Sterling.
They had 3 children - Cornelia who died at age 17, Dallas who was killed in the war and is buried in the military cemetery in Quincy and Frances Eugene Factor (my husband's grandfather) Frances Eugene Factor was born in Mt. Sterling, IL on 11/26/1905. He was married to Hazel Lewis on 07/02/1927. They later divorced. Frances died 08/02/1943 and is buried in Quincy, IL. Frances and Hazel had two children - Richard (my husband's father) and Joan. My father in law is also deceased but I will try to see whatever information I can get. My mother-in-law doesn't have much information on the Factors, but I can write to Joan and see if she remembers. When Frances and Hazel divorced Richard went to live with his father and Joan lived with her mother so she may not remember much. My father-in-law did talk about growing up in Chicago.
I hope this helps. I'll try to see what else I can get. I live close to Mt. Sterling but it may be a couple of weeks before I can get there to do any research. Will let you know more when I find out something. - Theresa
