Your great-grandfather took the name of Facundus from his aunt (his mother's sister). I'm not sure when or if the name change was ever legally done. Some of the family stories of about his parents were not accurate when I started to do some research. His mother had three children (2 girls and a boy). When she remarried, her new husband did not want the baby (boy) and so he went to live with his aunt. I'm not sure if I still have all that information as I've moved a number of times.
