I am assuming that you are referring to John who m(1) Mary Billings (parents unknown) who had one known son, or John born 18 November 1776 at Stoughton, MA; and m(2) Catherine Van Der Werken 4 December 1778 at Albany, NY. In 1818, John Fadden of Franklin Co., VT, applied for a federal pension based on his revolutionary service in MA, see W21084 Rev War Pension. My interest in John was that his first wife married my ancestor, Ozias Whiting, as his second wife. Ozias and Mary later moved to Braintree, VT where both died. They had three daughters born in/about Hingham, etc. in MA. Please note that there are some who have maintained that John and Mary also had a second son, or James born 15 Mar 1779. Please also note that I have yet to determine the ancestry of Mary Billings...she just doesn't seem to show up in any of the vital records near Milton/Stoughton, MA; and in the pertinent Billings genealogies. Good luck.
