This isn't too timely, but I just came across this forum today. I'd be one of his 24. This happened back in July.

FADDEN, THOMAS JOSEPH February 5, 1920 to July 23, 2004 Thomas J. Fadden, 84, beloved husband, brother, father of nine, grandfather of twenty four, great-grandfather of ten, was surrounded by his family when he passed away on July 23, 2004. Preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Slattery and daughter, Patricia Gold. Born in West Avoca, Penn., Tom was a coal miner. During World War II, he served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After the war, he moved with his family to Newark, New Jersey where he earned a degree in engineering at NCE and worked as an engineer for PSE&G for 30 years. He retired with his wife to San Diego in 1981. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. His hobbies included bowling, golfing, cards games with friends and family and watching horse races. Clairemont Mortuary handling arrangements. Please sign the guest book at obituaries.uniontrib.com
