Michael, Not long ago I was working on the Blakely Faddis family of Audrain/Boone Co. and believe that your John T. Faddis was probably the son of Sherrod Faddis & Elizabeth Easley who married in Boone Co. in 1847. This is not all fresh in my mind, but in reviewing my notes I can tell you that a widowed Elizabeth is living near the family of Blakely Faddis in 1860 & is enumerated immediately before as Elizabeth Jameson in the 1870 Audrain Co. census. Although I have no proof, I believe that Sherrod was a son of Blakely. Apparently Elizabeth remarried to a Silas Jameson, and was probably again widowed. Elizabeth Easley Faddis Jameson is found in the 1880 census in the household of another son (brother of your J. T.) named Peyton S. Faddis - also found as "S. P." (possibly Sherrod Peyton?) in the 1860 census. In the 1870 census they are listed as "John Jameson" and "Peyton Jameson". If you'd care to e-mail me privately maybe we can figure this all out.
