Frederick Faerber NY 1930s Alsace

Hi, I'm looking for information regarding my great-grandfather Frederick or Friedrich Faerber. He immigrated from Alsace after WWI and was married to Florence Barlow, they are listed on the 1930 New York Census as having A step-daughter named Theresa, Son Frederick and my grandfather, Kenneth.

Sometime during this decade he announced that he was going out for a packet of cigarettes and never returned.

My father found him in some records in the 1990s that said he was still alive and had married again, I think he was living in Queens.
