Ms. Burgar, Thanks for your note. Yes I have the 1870 and 1880 federal censuses for Bridget (Fagan) Dittmar. I am also of the opinion that the 1880 census taker misunderstood and wrote Iowa instead of Ireland, or he/she simply had a momentary lapse. Censuses are full of such errors. I also have the census records for Charles A. Dittmar in 1900 after Bridget died and he had remarried. Are you interested in this family?
