I believe your Patrick Fahey was the brother of John Fahey who died from wounds received at the battle of Shiloh April 7, 1862 as well as Ellen Fahey who married James Pollard in Sterling, IL. Your gggrandfather was a Civil War vet and I have recently received copies of his military pension records. John Fahey's parents are listed on his pension records as William Fahey and Mary O'Donnell who married at the Parish of Doon, County of Limerick, IRE about the year 1831. James Pollard and Ellen Fahey are my ggrandparents. Please contact me as I am very interested in this line. My Uncle and cousin were in IRE a decade or so ago and visited the Parish of Doon and some cemeteries but were not able to find relatives during their visit. I've seen photos of the parish however.
