Bruce, I have a John Fahey .....but my information is slightly different:
John Fahey b. 1835 Ireland. He migrated to northern Ky and married Ellen Atkins 1853-1870. They had a son Michael "Bud" Fahey who worked on the railroad.
After Ellen died John married Mary Ann Sullivan 1852-1919. Their son Thomas J. was born about 1874. Tom Fahey married Mamie Kaub and they lived in Independence (Kenton Co.) Ky. Tom and Mamie had several children, one was my husband's mother, Anna Marie Fahey who m. Joe Kunkel and they lived in Union KY (Boone Co.)
We have no idea where in Ireland our Fahey's migrated from. Wondering if these two families connect since they lived so near each other.
