Fahey-Dwyer Heritage
Posted by: Frances Lee Welch (ID *****4726) Date: March 31, 2006 at 08:36:50

I am a descendant of the Waterford Faheys and Tipperary Dwyer's. I would be very grateful for any information you could provide me regarding my Dywer-Fahey heritage.

My great grandfather fought in the Civil War with Massachuett's 1st Cavalry. He was born in Waterford Ireland June 24, 1844 and came to America when he was four with his father Edward and mother Mary (nee Keane).

My great grandmother Johanna Dwyer came to America with her family in 1851. Her father's name was Michael and mother's maiden name was Margaret (Betsy) Dwyer with her maiden name unknown. Johanna's birthdate was March 10, 1845. She and my great grandfather Edward Fahey were married October 1, 1871 in Westfield Massachuetts, USA.
