Thank you for checking the records.
For Mary Agnus Fahey, I am quit confident that her birth is 5 Aug 1886 (or possibly 1888 as she was shown as 22 in 1910 ellis island manafest, but that would conflict with her brothers birth). She grew up in Bellanamullia, but I dont know if she was born there.
Mary had a brother Martin James Fahey born 3 Feb 1888. He arrived ellis island 1911. Passage paid by Father Martin Fahey, so thier father was possibly Martin. My mother recollected John but that is questionable as shw was 80 at the time.
Martin (if that correct) died before 1901. Thier mother Catherine (nee Naughton or Norton), Mary and Martin are found in Athone in 1901 census living with thier step father Thomas Prendergast.
James Mcmanus is harder to find information on. He has always claimed a bith date of 25 jan 1882 but has 25 jan 1883 listed on his death cert.(problably a typo).
Censu records show he arrived either 1904, 1905 or 1906, however, he was in SF for the Oct 1906 earthquake. Possible Ellis island records show a James McManus from Athlone in late 1903 going the Hartford, Conn. This the likily one but I dont have enough to confirm it. Other less likily but possibly arrivals are from Rochdale, and Cavan.
I know that my grandparents went to school together but not in the same class and did not have a romance till much later in SF. I believbe his father name being John was from that potential manafest so may not be correct, either.
I do suspect his family is from another part of Roscommon county. I dont know how likily it was for families to move around back then.
Thats about all I know about James before he arrived in the states. I know its not much to go on.
