Your inquiry re Patrick Fahey is interesting in that my wife's ancestor is James Fahey who married Bridget Maloney about early 1824 at the latest, since their 1st child John was born 12/27/1824 in the Paspebiac area of Quebec right across the bay of Chaleur from NB. We have long suspected they were in NB before going to Quebec. It is likely Patrick and James were related, perhaps even brothers. We don't know where they were married, but perhaps the same place as Patrick. Do you have details from church or notary records? We also don't know parents, all we know is place and date of John's birth. The family moved east along the Gaspe coast to Newport where my wife's father John Patrick (Jay) was born in 1900 before emigrating to Detroit.

it is also interesting to note that John b. 1824 had a bother Patrick b. 3/5/1826 perhaps named after your Patrick.
