Seeking a Katie Ellen Cooper, daughter of (Jennie, Jeannie, Virginia
Ellen Swisher) who married at least four times, (Missouri/Iowa/Illinois most
likely places) to (Edmundson, Chrisman, Bauer and Egglestone). Had one or two
sons, and a daughter, before moving to California.
This Katie Ellen Cooper was born May 17, 1899 in Seymour Missouri in a
Covered Wagon. Population of Seymour Missouri at that time was only 388.
Katie Ellen Cooper is the daughter of Joseph Cooper. Joseph Cooper died in
Quincy Illinois April 6, 1948. (Am seeking a copy of the obituary notice). We
have not found where his wife, my great grandmother, is buried. Jeannie, or
Virginia Ellen (Swisher) married Joseph Cooper in an unknown location, but
probably Iowa/Missouri or Illinois.
This Joseph Cooper was adopted from a Dr. Davis in Quincy.
We are attempting to locate descendants of this Joseph Cooper and
Jeannie, to find photo's of Jeannie and possibly where Jeannie and Joseph
Cooper is buried. This Katie Ellen (Cooper) Edmundson, Bauer, Chrisman
Eggleson died on December 27, 1970 in Newhall California so her descendants
may be in that area today. I don't know her married name at the time of
death, but if an obituary could be found, it would help us find her
This is not going to be an easy task without help.
